Dirty Helen Cromwell was a legendary figure in Milwaukee’s social history. Her speakeasy, then tavern, The Sun Flower Inn, was the hottest spot in town from 1922 to 1961.

Feral House publishing is proud to release Helen’s autobiography, Good Time Party Girl-The Notorious Life of Dirty Helen Cromwell, telling her story of a girl who couldn’t say NO and the adventures for multiple lifetimes.

Great Lakes Distillery, in honor of Helen- she only served Scotch or Bourbon at The Sun Flower Inn- has created a limited edition, cask strength bourbon. Dirty Helen Bourbon is a throwback to the days when Milwaukee was known for its raucous nightlife.

Join us for hot jazz, swing, and the sounds of the past. Special-release copies of Good Time Party Girl-The Notorious Life of Dirty Helen Cromwell and (limited quantity) bottles of Great Lakes Distillery’s Dirty Helen Bourbon available for purchase. Free samples of the bourbon will be offered as well!

Acclaimed actress, Karen Estrada, embodies Helen for the evening as she tells a few of Helen’s ribald stories and even more dirty jokes.

We encourage you to dress as if you were headed to Helen’s- that means looking sharp like it was 1920-1950s! Prize package for the best outfit and giveaways throughout the evening.

More fun and surprises to be announced.

I reside in Columbus, Ohio and my brothers-in-law and I refer to our mother-in-law as “Dirty Helen” or “Big Helen” (behind her back, of course.) hile I would love to be able to be at the launch party, I was wondering if I will be able to acquire the bourbon here Columbus, either locally LR by direct delivery.

I would like to be able to gift this to my brothers-in-law at Christmas.

    Thanks

      Michael,

Unfortunately it is illegal for us to ship alcohol and we don’t have a distributor in Ohio. Only way to get it is to come to the distillery. Sorry!
